She works in a rich and varied range of materials, finding a personal empathy with each one, be it stone, wood, or metal. She draws her inspiration from many sources, but it is primarily the abstract images of natural forms that are reflected in her sculptures. Irene Blogg has been a respected member of the art
community for several years. She teaches sculpture, and lectures on the creative process.
She has been a guest speaker at the University of Toronto and Ryerson Polytechnical
Institute. She is also a past president of the Sculptors' Society of Canada and has been
the recipient of numerous awards for her work. Her sculptures grace many private and
corporate collections throughout the world. |
